Hi, Can somebody tell me how to do this? I forgot the technical term for it, but I'm wanting to put a background image in Word. I'll then be putting our Meeting Notes in the foreground for our Production Meetings. Please help me...thanks so much!

Steve :)

Control" button (second button from left). A drop down list appears. Choose: Watermark. You now have a "faded" image, so that text that overlies the image will still be legible.

Step 2: Click the Text Wrapping button on the Picture toolbar (fourth button from the right). Choose "Behind Text".

This will result in a watermark on your current page only. If you like to have your watermark on every page, the watermark image must be inserted in the header or footer of the document.

Thanks....I have a watermark now, but I don't know how to wrap the text around it. My text cursor is starting in the middle of the page. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Select your watermark picture. You will know that it is selected because little boxes will show around the edge of the picture. Using your Picture Toolbar, select the 'Text Wrapping' icon (I think the Word 97 icon is a little dog with lines behind it. Select the option that says 'Behind Text'. Select an area on the page where your watermark is not. Yhe boxes around the picture should dissapear and the curser should appear again. If the curser is still in the middle of your screen you can check a few things:

1. Make sure you have your page setting on 'align left' and not 'center'. You can set your alignment to left justified by simply pressing Ctrl+L

2. Check your margin settings by going to File -> Page Setup -> Margins Tab.

3. Check your indents (look for an icon that has a lot of line and an arrow pointing left) Click on the left indent arrow until your curser is where you want it.

Hope this helps!
