Computer has installed windows 2000 profesional. The computer internet connection was working ok, however it was not in a workgroup. To include the computer in a work group what I did was to reinstalled networkcard and tcp/ip protocols (keeping same setup), I also rename the workgroup. After that, the intranet was ok, but I can not access internet. I can ping computer in my workgroup but I cannot access internet. Help!!!

Arthur10,

In order to diagnose your situation (one hesitates to call it a problem just yet), a bit more data is necessary.

[ol][li]Tell us what you know about your connection to the internet (DSL, ISDN, Dialup, LAN/Firewall/Proxy/etc).[/li] [li]Tell us how your computer is configured:[ul][li]Click "Start", click "Run", type in "CMD", and click "OK"[/li] [li]when the "DOS Window" opens up, type "IPCONFIG/ALL" and press the "ENTER" key.[/li] [li]Copy all of that down (yes, it's a lot) and type it into your reply...[/li][/ul]
[/li][/ol]
When we have enough data about where you are now, we will try to diagnose your path from that point...
