Help with Win2000 Pro and connecting to Novell 3.12

Ok heres the scoop... I know how to install the novell client.. but with novell 3.12 it can only handle 8 characters for a login name.. We have a 2000 server that
the exchange server is on, and I need to establish this user to the novell 3.12 server.. Her name is 14 characters long.. How do I get the novell client on the win2000 pro machine to see that.. It keeps coming up with her default name which is 14 characters long???
