System lost all programming. I reprogrammed system. The 0x32 has vm that uses digital ports instead of analog. When I call those ports it says not in service. Is there a program I forgot.

What did you reprogram? the MICS or the voice mail? Need more details as to what you did, and what caused this. They do not typically lose programming. Why did you need to?

Have you programmed the voice mail? It is not going to be recognized until you have initialized it. If you reset the MICS, you probably need to re-install the voice mail also to get it to sync up.

What voicemail do you have? If it is the App Mod, then most likely you will have to reboot the voicemail. The others will reboot on its own.

I agree with bkrike... need more details.

bkrike :

The voicemail is an Amanda work groups version 7.1. The system is a 0x32 w/ 0x16 and a 12x0. All voicemail ports are programmed for 1 intercom button and the ports forward in order (249, 250, 251, 252. I have everything working except the voicemail. I purchased new voicemail and problem still exist. Amanda thinks it's the port card in the voicemail. I am not 100% they are right. So I was looking for advice from the forum to see if you guys know of any norstar programming needed to be done. Is there a program to specify vm ports (DIGITAL). If not then hopefully it is the vm and not a simple program.

OK- cant really help much, as I only deal in Nortel voice mail (nothing beats full integration.)
I can tell you that there is no special programming in the Nortel MICS that is designed to let the switch know that particular ports are designated for voice mail.

So, all of your programming for the Nortel and the Amanda will be in the Amanda manual. I know that most modern Amanda’s allow for direct digital Nortel port integration, but I would just confirm that your particular Amanda allows for this, as opposed to needing an ATA or VMI.

Any other answers would probably be found via the Amanda manual, or Amanda tech support if it is offered. There never has been a whole lot of discussion about Amandas on this board, but maybe someone here is familiar with the product. It is a very important detail that you left out of the title and the first post.
