Hi Thanks for taking the time to look at this post. I am trying to build a database to keep track of sales and Inventory. I simply want to create a Purchase order(Outgoing) for products that I purhcase to sell. That Quantity is then added to the current inventory count, and I have to have On Order, Ready to ship, Backorder to add and deduct from that Running Number. I have a book here and was reading about running numbers it said to set it to yes. But I do not have a yes option in my reports. I have tried queries and cant get all the data to show properly. Forms I am getting errors in the fields. Is there a way I can Update or append quantities in tables . I do not know why I am having such difficulty doing simple math in this program. perhaps I just do not understand how to update or append properly. any advice would be helpful, Thanks

welli acctualy did this to one of my customers last week i made him a whole database that starts from the customers order and till the end of the process that includes inventory and po and orders and cutting tickets and cutting must and sktches and all the gaurment factory needs and what i did is that first the user creates a po and when the po is recieved the reciever enters in a form build on a query for what po he is updating now and then when he clicks a button i called UpdateInv (stands for update inventory) it runs a update query that updates all the information in the recieving form and updates in the table called Inventory and then i created a query to give me the total of all the inventory and the same after i process the cutting tickets it takes it off from the inventory
