I've just installed Red Hat 7.3 on my computer and unfortunately, it fails to detect my network card. I've went to the developer site and i was able to download a rpm file but the problem now is to get the file into linux partition. I've copy the file onto CD, floppy under windows and it just don't read (probably due to different file system). So my question now is, how in the world will I be able to get the network card setup if i can't really get the correct file to the system? I can't use other OS to copy the files and I don't have the option of downloading. If anyone know a way to get around this, please let me know, thanks!

Whats Ethernet card do you have ?
I can download the ethernet card driver for linux.
Good Luck

If you have the RPM on a floppy or CD you should be able to mount them and copy the file to your linux partition. Linux will read and write DOS and FAT32 files just fine.

I have a Kingston KNE110TX and I've already copy the file onto a CD, but when i put in the CD under linux, i just can read it.

CDs are written in the ISO9960 format, which both Win32 and Linux read just fine.

If the CD is readable from other machines, I'm wondering if it isn't a media problem. Some drives, for example, have problems reading CD-RW media. ______________________________________________________________________

I am not really sure what the problem is really, the media reads fine under windows. Also, i pop in a DVD into my drive and it worked just fine. Still trying to figure out how to transfer the file....
