Help with Transition from Groupwise

Hi folks --

I am currently running Novell 5 Small Business Suite (SBS) with Groupwise 5.5. We are looking to expand our network, which will require giving up on our SBS because we are limited to 25 users. My predecessor had already purchased NetWare 5.1 with a 100-user license, but this doesn't include Groupwise. I'd like to continue to offer my workplace e-mail access, so I've been looking for other (relatively inexpensive) solutions.

So far, my ideas have been to set up a Linux server with qmail using Pegasus Mail as the client, or run Mercury MTA on NetWare with Pegasus Mail. Because of the tight integration of Mercury and Pegasus, I'd prefer the latter course, but I'm not sure how to start with any migration from Groupwise to Mercury (or qmail, for that matter).

My questions (finally) are:
1) Does anybody have experience with Mercury? If so, have you found it to be any good?
2) How would I migrate existing Groupwise e-mail messages over to qmail or Mercury?

(Details on Pegasus and Mercury can be found at:
I'd appreciate any suggestions people might have. I'm more than a bit out of my element on this one!

Thanks,

Don
