help with toshiba satellite 1675 cds! 1

hey guys,

i have a small problem i cant find the answer to, hope you can all help. i got a toshiba satellite 1675 cds, and everytime i turn it on the both fans quit working after a few seconds (seems after post)i have taken it apart and it seems like some kind of short circuit somewhere but i cant seem to find it, any ideas guys? also is there something that controls both fans (since they both stop at the same time) that could possible be shor circuiting?? thanks for all the help guys.

By their very nature laptops are designed to power save, part of power saving is to design hardware that either powers down in someway or only comes on when needed ie: fans only spinning when the processor reaches a certain temperature, hence the reason why most laptop fans turn on and off during normal use.
Having said this Toshiba did release a revised bios for better thermal management on this model range see:
