Help With TIdIRC?? IRC Client Delphi 7

Hello i am wanting to know how to use the
TIdIRC component.
i am wanting to connect to IRC servers and channels i also want to be able to recieve documents from other users on the irc network.
However i cannot find any information on the indy projects its almost as if no one has used any of them. i want to know if anyone knows how to use the TIdIRC component or if anyone has any web pages with tutorials or exapmles
