I have the following setup:
NETGEAR SWITCH connects (wired) to BEFW11S4, also the netgear connects (wired) to WAP11.
The SSID is the same on both BEFW11S4 and WAP11
NETGEAR SW is the DHCP server w/range of 192.168.x.x
DHCP server is disabled on both Linksys devices
Linksys devices have hard coded addresses on the same network, but not in the DHCP servers scope.
I CAN get an address on any computer or laptop (wired or wirelessly).
I CAN connect (ping or otherwise) either wired or wirelessly to the above devices.
I CAN get into the setup of either Linksys device (wired or wirelessly).
PROBLEM: If I disconnect the BEFW11S4 from the network, I lose any wireless connection, even though the WAP11 is still active.
Any ideas as to why I cannot keep a connection using the WAP11 only?
