how can i make one text field display "blue", for example, when i enter "9" into another field?

I'm new to FMP and don't know much about it,
Please help.

Thank you in advanced :)

Do you mean display the letters that spell the word blue or do you mean change the actual color of the letters contained in the field?

If you want to display the word blue when Text_1 = "9" then create a new CALCULATED field. Make the result TEXT type and make a calculation something like this:

If ( Table::Text_1 = "9"; "Blue"; "" )

This says: If Text_1 contains the letter 9 then display the word Blue otherwise display nothing.

Swing-and-a-miss?
