Help with switching _x positions 1

Hi everyone. Now, I'm sure that what I've done is not the best way to go about doing it, but it was the only way I could think of. I recently saw a menu, that had each link, once pressed, it swapped places with the left most link button on the menu. I attempted to do something like this, and the first click my "buttons" switch place, but then they go nutty. I was wondering is anyone might be able to steer me in the right direction. Or maybe just tell me what I did wrong, and that this AS thing isn't really for me

Basically, I need the clicked button to tween to position 1, and the button in position 1 to tween to the position the clicked button is coming from. Any ideas?

Don't know if this will answer your question...

Did my own version of it, simplifying your code, and then added the _root.moving bits to prevent 2 different moving buttons at the same time...
