Hi to all,,
Who has experience with Spectras configuration on Mitel??
I have some issues to resolve, i thing the poblem is in the SVP Server, but i'm not really sure.

i will apreciate your help.

I have installed one for a 3300 ICP site.

What is your trouble?

In this moment, i have configured the AP´s, the SVP and the 3300 ICP, but when i try to access a Spectra, the phone send me this messages: No net access.
Do you have a check list of the configuration ?, i dont know if i made some wrong.

Is there a firewall on this network? If so, remove it temporarily to see if the the phone can reach the access point and the access point can reach the svp server. I had the same trouble. Once the firewall was removed, the wireless phones had access to the svp server and 3300.

Also, have you checked the compatibility of the access point against the compatibility chart included with the svp server. You can also find the compatibility chart on the Spectralink website.

Actually, doesnt exist a firewall between the wireless network and the devices, if i access this network with my laptop i can get an address from the dhcp and i can ping the controller and the svp. The access point that i have are Teklogix and are in the list.

Are you saying that the access points are acting as a firewall? You may have to Where is your laptop getting a DHCP address from? Are your Access Points on the same subnet or Vlan as the 3300 or do you have a router between them. What settings did you place on your sets? Are you using a WEP authenication code or open system on the access points?

Basically, there are lots of variables that could be an issue. I believe that the "no net access" is a message indicating that the set is not able to talk to the Access Point. Did you program the APs? or did the local Lan Administrator do it?

The Access Point and the controller are in the same subnet, we dont have firewall and we dont have WEP key configure in the AP.
If i check the access point i can see when the phone is associating with the ap for a moment and then is disconnected.
That´s the problem i can maintain a stable connection between the spectra and the AP.

Do you know how to get into the admin menu of the spectra set? If you go into there, go to the security settings. I think that you should make sure that security is set to "none". It should be that way by default.

You may want to set the phone up with static settings. That way you don't have to worry about the DHCP server.

Have you configured the max phones per AP in the SVP server?

I remember that when you make any changes to the SVP server, you also have to reboot. Just a thought.

I configured a static ip, i blanked all the wep settings, also
i checked and reset the SVP Server, and the phone send me the same messages NO NET ACCESS, is very weird.

Also, i checked the SSID in the AP and Spectra.

If i set the phone in Site Survey i can see the access point and have goog power 49 -dBm

Sorry Bud! I don't think I have enough experience with one install to help you further. I had the same trouble and it was solved with the removal of the Firewall on the network. It was a hardware firewall, a Sonicwall device.

Anyway thanks for your replies.
If i have some solution i would post it here.
