Hello everyone,

I went through a very descriptive and well formatted tutorial online at ( and found it very helpful.

The tutorial involves creating a scroller that scrolls a text field when you press some <down> and <up> arrows. However, I would like to go a step further as I need to create a scroller that simply scrolls down automatically, some what like the credits when a movie ends. In addition, I need the text to be actual web links and to loop when the text ends. To elucidate the idea even further, there is an example of an applet that does exactly what I mean at the bottom left hand corner of the following site: (
I would appreciate any help or direction that anyone can provide. Thanks you.

just create the text and save it as a symbol. Use a motion tween to make it scroll down the page inside a movie clip. Post again if you need help with the specifics of this.

Go to and select the bio link to see an example of what I am talking about. Ya' Gotta Love It!

If you want the scroll to hold active links, guess you'll have to use buttons rather than just text. On press (or whatever) would open a popup as your applet!

Tulsa?
Took me a while to find the BIO menu item!
Who wrote that BIO? You?

no...I'm not sure who wrote that...this is some guy from Arizona who asked me to build a website.... he still has not purchased any webspace which is why I just dumped him off onto f2s.

looks like you could group the buttons and the text together and make a symbol out of the whole group... put that into a movie clip.

a simple motion tween would scroll the whole symbol including the buttons and the text.

Wouldn't that work, Old? Ya' Gotta Love It!

Guess it would!
Will have to try that someday!LOL
