Someone has been relaying through our mail server for months, and I have turned off mail relay for all, except our local users (about 200), yet the spamming continues. I have looked at our log notes from our mail program, and can't find anything. Can someone recommend a good "whois" program, or any other software to help me figure this out.
If a program recommended is what I need, we will purchase it.
Thanks

ok, i got sam spade. It works great from home. But won't work here at work. I connected the pc to a dsl modem to bypass our proxy and firewall, but still won't work.

spamcop.net is one place to start.

Netscan Tools is an excellent suite of IP tools.

One of the best that I have recommended is Messagelabs.

I have had very good luck with them. the service is cheap enough to where it's not really cost effective to mess about with it on your own.
