Hi All,
I am trying to build a report where the details of the current risk assessment is shown & then after it all the alterations to the record are displayed.
The first part is ok it is the second where I am having problems, the modifications to the assessments are held in a seperate table along with the field name, the value before & after changes & date time. What I would like is each change to be shown, but if it was carried on the same date then all of them would be grouped together in one section on the report by the date they were done. Then the next date etc...
So I do not know how many fields to add to this section of the report is there anyway to do this dynamically? As some records may not have had any modifications & some may have had multiple.
Thanks
Tim

Hi
This sounds very like a subreport. Am I missing some essential point? [ponder]

Hi Remou,
Yes I guess a sub report but how do you dynamically add fields to report at run time because I need to group all the amendments that were done on the same day together& then the next lot amendments by the next date etc..

While you CAN add controls to reports, it must be done in the design mode. This is feasable, but probably quite unnecessary. I would have all of the necessary controls (there shouldn't be fields in the final that aren't also in the in the changes?). Depending on the structure of your changes, you would just populate the relevant fields.

On a slightly different note, if you group the changes by a perior )day), and there happens to be more than one change to the same in that period (day), how will you resolve this?
