I have 2 front end web servers and 1 database SQL server but I'm a little confused with the setup.

I setup the first webserver and it connects to the DB just fine. I installed the second webserver and pointed it to the same DB but the configuration is not matching up. What I'm trying to accomplish is to have the web servers working together using NLB (network load balancing)but I want to be able to administer both web servers from one location and have the changes reflect on both servers.

Hope this makes sense.
thanks

Hello,

Are you running SharePoint Portal Server or Windows SharePoint services?

If you are running portal, are you getting the message that your farm installation is unsupported? If you are running SharePoint Portal Server you need 3 frontend (I think) one that is taking the Job/index role, you can't assign all roles to the two frontend servers. Look at the Medium Server farm installation gudies in the SharePoint Admin guide.

If you are only running Windows SharePoint services, it should work just fine (as far as I know).

You get any error messages?

Best Regards,
Thomas
