Help with setting up Automated Process

Hi all,
I am looking for some help to set up some automated processes within Goldmine.

First of is there any best practices resources for automated processes that anyone can recommend?

What I want to do is have goldmine automatically schedule events based on specific interactions with prospect and customers. I have defined several processes that I want to occur. One example is a free trial offer. What I want to happen is when a prospect starts the trial, I would like to schedule 3 or four events to happen during that trial including emails, calls and other actions to be automatically scheduled. What I also want is for this to occur once I complete the setup call for the trial. What I do not want to do is have to manually attach the track to the records, but instead have the record automatically be attached based on the trial being initiated.

Can anybody help me with this? I have heard about the "monitor track" concept, that is a track to automatically attach other tracks to records but have no idea on how to do this. I think I have an okay Idea on how to set up a track, but really have no good way of getting the process to work without any manual intervention.
