I am new to Octel and I have a question......When a caller enters the system and the AA prompt plays they dont touch anything, and then it hangs up on them....How and where do I change this setting? I have the books, but I can't seem to find it? I am a certified Nortel Tech and am VERY familiar with Meridian mail and Call Pilot.....not with OCTEL....

Hi.

If you make a printout of the profile of the actual COS for your AA use the command ".L PROF" in the update function.
The extension number, where you want to transfer the callers must be initiated before by ".A USER"in the update function.
The INFO table of the actual AA prfoile need to have added the number where the callers should be transferred to.
So, add this number in the INFO table under index 1 i.e. the "INTERCEPT MAILBOX".
Then it will work.

The current message says " please stay on the line or press 0" if the caller stays on the line, it hangs up on them......

Never mind.....we got it.....Thansk you so much for your assistance.....

You have - maybe - entered an INTERCEPT telephone number that was not correct. And now you changed it to some number that works as it should?
