Help with SAPS and sets, not CAP 1

I have a quick question for you guys out there. I have wired SAPS for CAP before, but I have never used a SAPS with a set. I have to install a set that is just over 1000 feet from the KSU and I may need a SAPS just to make that little extra distance. (Approximately 1050 feet distance). Where does the SAPS wire in to the set? I am assuming it will just wire into pair 2 of the cable, right by the phone location. Could someone please verify this???

That is correct.
You might not need it at that distance. A little cushion seems to be built into the distance.

Thanks. That is exactly what I expected. I just neede to verify to be sure.

I am not anticipating needing the SAPS, but just in case I prefer to be prepared.

I have been able to extend the distance beyond 1500 ft by doubling up on conductors. In otherwords use 4 conductors instead of 2
