I've got RRAS configured on one of my servers. The server has dual nics, one with a public IP and the other with an internal ip. I can connect just fine with a PPTP VPN connection, but when I go in and do an ipconfig /all it shows me that a) the Default gateway is the same as the host IP address and not the actual default gateway on the network, b) default domain name is blank. RRAS is configured to use DHCP to hand out the IP addresses to clients. This is working but not how I would expect it to. I understand that VPN clients do not receive the DHCP options like they normally would on the LAN so I created a DHCP Relay Agent just to see and no relays are taking place. If I run Network Monitor on the internal interface I do not see any DHCP conversations taking place. I am absolutely stumped. I would appreciate any ideas that you have. Thanks ahead of time.

Are you getting an automatic private IP address,i.e. 169.???.???.??? range?

no, it is getting a valid IP address (192.168.10.x)...I actually fixed it by reconfiguring RRAS. Now when I go into the Relay Agent I can see that requests are being forwarded; before there was no such action. I configured it the EXACT same way both times. I don't know what the dealio was but we're good now. Thanks for your response
