I inadvertantly erased an important file. Is there any way to get it back. I am using Sys10 and the file was a Quark file.
Thanks,
Bill

If you emptied the trash, the answer is no. If you did not empty, drag it out of the trash and reopen.

Using OSX 10.3.8 on a G4

Thanks for all the help. I think I'll have to go for the Utilities, because it doe not show up in the Trash. I think Quark must do their own 'slam-dunk.'

I forgot that you were using Quark. Also check if there was an autosaved version.

And if you are autosaving with Quark, consider turning that feature off if there is system instability.

What can you do when a Copydesk 2.1 article detaches from an XPress 4.1 layout? Why does that happen in the first place?
I'm using OS 9.2.2

Use Prosoft DataRescue. you cna try it free to see if the file is actually recoverable.
