Technical User

Hello All,

I am creating a tech user for our organization who will be completely a restricted user so that he does not do any administrative tasks. I have succeeded in clearing the complete desktop & he has only a small script to run when he has to log in & also a shortcut to a folder on the c drive wher he will be modifying the folder with files. Now what is happening is when the user opens up the folder he sees the path of the folder in the address bar of the explorer & from there he can navigate to the complete C drive by using the "UP" option on the menu bar.I have used the nocontextmenu registry option where he is not able to right click on the bar after hiding the UP icon but after I apply this registry setting the menu is reset with the icon & we cannot right click to remove the icon. So I want to be able to click on the shortcut to the folder but have no ability to browse to teh C drive. Please help

Not sure if this will help but create the share on the required folder. Make sure the shortcut points to the share and not the physical location. In the GPO settings bloke access to the local hard drives.

Hope this helps.
