Hi,

I need to create a READ-ONLY connection from Access Project to my SQL server via a system DSN, but using a read/write user account. Is there anyway to specify Read-only on the user-side of things? The access permissions are greyed out on advanced tab in the connections settings.

Any Ideas?

Thanks,

Wiltony

Not that I know of.

I am guessing you need to do this because the DSN could be used by read/write users as well as read-only users?

This being so, either use User DSN's (a bit of a pain), or how about switching to Windows Authentication & a direct connection to the DB?
