Presently I have a PIX 506 (v5.3) and a Cable Modem. My ISP only provides 1 IP address assigned via DHCP.

I have successfully been able to obtain the extenal interface IP address and routes. Unfortunately I have not been able to configure the PIX to correctly share internet with the Internal clients.

Not sure if I can even do it. From my understanding I need a Global entry that can't be the same as the external interface which gets assigned by DHCP.

If someone knows how I can do it it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ron

Furthermore I just updated to 6.1 and installed PDM.

Ran setup BUT I can't get to it from a browser.

HELP....yes I'm a newbie

HI.

Good.

You must use HTTPS - not HTTP. Read the small letters.

>> Sharing the pix own interface address to clients is done with the command:
global 1 interface

But if you establish PDM connection so you can configure it from there.

Bye
