I cannot seem to locate this specific issue in this and other resource sites or all the apache manuals I have so please help?

Running Apache 2.0.40 on RH8.0 w/virtual servers, mod_perl and mod_ssl. I've enabled ssl on one of my virtual sites but when I try to access it I see nothing. However, the error log shows:
[Thu Jun 26 08:58:38 2003] [error] (13)Permission denied: Cannot open SSLSessionCache DBM file `/etc/httpd/logs/ssl-scache.log' for scanning
[Thu Jun 26 08:58:38 2003] [error] (13)Permission denied: Cannot open SSLSessionCache DBM file `/etc/httpd/logs/ssl-scache.log' for reading (fetch)
[Thu Jun 26 08:58:38 2003] [error] (13)Permission denied: Cannot open SSLSessionCache DBM file `/etc/httpd/logs/ssl-scache.log' for writing (store)

Already I've checked permissions on all the directories leading to the location of these files as well as the files themselves. In fact, I even tried (for testing only) seting them to 777 with the same results. Am I missing something?

Please advise?

Thank you kind apache gurus!

Bob
