We are a small business running Paradox 10. We are currently without an IT person. We are attempting to reinstall our shipping software with the help of the shipping software tech support. We run an export of the shipping data to the shipping station in DB3+ or DB5 format. The shipping people are saying the export is not readable and is not actually a database but they cannot say why. We are running the same systems that we have for years, so I am at a loss for what to do. Can anyone help?

Check the extensions on the exported files. Are the symbols to the right of the "." associated with the file type you hope to export? It might seem like a no-brainer but I've seen the same problem with clients running Paradox.

Add water (makes its own sauce).

failing that try exporting it to csv then reimporting it to db3 or db5
