Hey guys, recently, I've been having problems with my AntiVirus 2006. Just over 2 weeks ago, something just popped up and it said "1 Item Is Affecting your Status." I tried to fix it, but it said I couldn't. Hell, it never told me what else I could do to fix it. Then today, there's 2 of them that are affecting my status. I just found out it's the 'Auto-Protect' and 'Full System Scan.'

Then when I went to the AntiVirus home, it said I don't have any protection at all from internet, e-mail and all that.

I have no idea what's wrong with this program. I hope you guys could help me with this.

Thanks,

I gave up on Norton 2006. The program and the customer service is a joke. I would stick with AVG. Symmantec is offering a free upgrade to 2007 if you'd like to go that route. However, I am boycotting Symmantec. If you can return the product still, I'd do that. You shouldn't have to pay for a good antivirus program.

Well, actually you shouldn't have to pay for a BAD antivirus program. I'm sure the coders of good A/V apps get hungry, just like the rest of us.......

So you are saying that you shouldn't have to pay for Norton Antivirus? I couldn't agree more! As for the coders of their program, I'm sure that a lot of them have been outsourced with cheap laborers as well. Their help desk consists of unskilled laborers from India who don't know anything beyond re-installing the program. They hang up on you when they don't know the answer too. Completely worthless!
