I recently dowloaded the evaluation version of Nortel's Optivity Switch Manager which includes Device Manager 5.5.3.
I have installed it on 3 different Windows 2000 machines and get the same results.
If I try to discover my network by keying in one of my switch stacks (Baystack 450-24T's) I get:
Unable to examine seed device's topology due to:
(a) invalid read community or
(b) no route.
Try Actions->Ping to test connectivity.
I am able to ping the stack, telnet into the stack and change the stack.
If I run Device Manager and try to open the stack I get a java.lang.NullPointerException Error.
My stack version is:

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
