Hi,
I have recently bought a Netgear prosafe VPN FVS318 for one of my working colleagues. What we like to do is to set up a VPN connectin between her home and the office. At the office, we have a D-LINK VPN box.
Anyway, I went to set it all up and then tried to access to one of our fileserver at the office. It didn't connect successfully. Then, i went to look at the log activities to see if i could get something odd there at my friend's place, not at the office.
From there, i noticed that the netgear was attempting to send packets or initiate the connection (if you like) to the office's DLINK VPN because i could see the WAN IP address of the office. Then, the next line of the messages in the log file was something like
"payloads: SA, PROP, TRANS, VID" and this message came many times repeatedly. I don't understand what this means
And there was no reply from the other end i.e. office.
I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me out.
A big help is appreciated.
Thank you
