Hi,
I have tried talking with Norton Support via email about 2 issues, and they have not helped be solve them so far.
We are running Windows 2000 Server SP2, and this was a clean install of Norton.
The problems we have encountered...
1. The real time protection fails to load.
2. The error message that I am getting when I try to do a Live Update is..
This update failed because it tried to overwrite a file that was in use. Close all of your Symantec applications and run LiveUpdate again.
What we have done so far...
1. Completly uninstalled and reinstalled NAV and all components.
2. Manually uninstalled NAV.
3. Ran diags on the virus definition files and made sure the symevent was working properly.
4. We have checked the setting and services per Symantecs request.
So far nothing has worked, and these items are still haunting us.
Any help would be wonderful.
Thanks Much,
Jen
