I'm relatively knew to Flash and am having trouble with multiple movie clips. I've created 2 animated clips that must play one after the other and must remain visible on the scene after they have played. My problem is this: the second clip never plays! There is no stop() action on the first clip and each clip is on a seperate layer and frame on the scene.

I've tried putting both clips on the same layer and using gotoandplay() but no luck. I've also tried putting a stop() action on the 1st clip with similar results. Even tried nesting clip #2 into clip #1 - same thing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks loads..... There's always a better way...

Not sure what you mean. If you want to post the fla i will take a look at it. Your objective sounds simple enough.

Your link is a dead one! Regards,

Try again - but I'm not sure you'll be able to do anything with it... There's always a better way...

Your problem is that the main timeline doesn't stop either! In that case movie clips (to be visible), have to be on as many frames as the main timeline, or at least on as many frames you want them to be visible.

If you add a stop(); action on frame 32, you'll see both of your movie clips. And your "success" layer you don't really need. Regards,
