I have set my db to open a splash screen then after a time out open the switchboard form. I messed up and set the switchboard to pop up and modal. Now I can't access anything in the database or change to design view to change modal = no. Is there a way to defeat a form opening in modal form? Using Access 2007.

Thanks for the help

I'm guessing that you've got this set up so that the splash screen opens automatically when the app opens. If this is the situation, press the <Shift> key, and holding it down, open the Database. You should now be 'behind the scenes' and be able enter Design View for your Form.

How are ya mam27936 . . .

If [blue]missinglinq's[/blue] post doesn't work ... [blue]press & hold[/blue] the shiftkey just after you click/doubleclick to open the db!

I say this because my systems are are set to activate on [blue]single-click[/blue]. That is ... point to an icon or file and it automatically receives the focus ... this is the 1st click equivalent. Then clicking the selected item ... the 2nd click.

I've setup for single & double click and the above has shown true for both ...
