Hi,

I have been a reading a lot of posts on manual crosstab but still not sure about few things. I have grouping on the following fields

Interval
Area
Crew

I want to create a manual cross tab where it will display the Crew as row headings and Area as column heading and the crosstab needs to be displayed in Interval group header.

I understand that to get the row heading I need to group on Crew which I already have. How should I display all the areas that fall under interval grouping as column header?

With manual Cross tabs you need to make sure that the columns are fixed

Eg. Area1 Area2 Area3

then you create a series of running totals where you evaluate data belonging to a specific Area resetting values on change group

Note that with the cross tab the columns may increase dynamically with a manual Cross Tab they can't, that is why Cross Tab has limited functionality

Hope it make sense.

In my case the column names would change depending upon the interval. They will not be static. Is there no other way of doing it? I can't use crosstab wizard because of my formula. I have to use manual crosstab.

ekta,

could you give some more info regarding the formulas that you use also the min max number of columns. Have they got the same names or names vary?

Mo

Formula looks like below

If {@ScheduledTasks} = 0 then
"N/S"
Else If {@TotalTasks} = 0 then
"N/D"
Else
cStr( (sum({@TimelyCOmplete},{@Group_CrewUnit})/(sum({@TimelyCOmplete},{@Group_CrewUnit}) + sum({@MissedTasks},{@Group_CrewUnit}) + sum({@LateComplete},{@Group_CrewUnit}))) * 100, 2)

The groupings in my report are as follows

Region
Sector
Interval
Area
Crew

The name for the column will very for every region, sector depending on what the user enters as a parameter.

Thanks for the article. I understand it but I am not sure of how to get dynamic columns in this manual crosstab. If in one case I have 2 column headings then in another I can have 5.

I am hoping that somebody would help me with this issue. Thanks.

anyone please?????? I have been looking around but no luck so far.
