Hello all, we currently have a Nortel M3904, we can only seem to make calls handsfree (i.e. via speakerphone only), and I just cannot seem to you the handset for it, I tried picking up the phone off the hook but it would stay on speakerphone (it should come off speakerphone), I tried hitting handset, hanging up the phone and picking it up (again, should go into handset mode but it does not)

Any ideas??

Is it plugged in the head set jack?

Is the little lever coming up when you lift the handset?

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

In the options list of the phone are Options 13 and 14. They control the behavior of the headset port on a call. One of those settings might help.
