Hi,

We have a basic Access database that updates prices for us in our accounting package (Sybiz) as exchange rates change.

We have always had the VFP table simply linked as an external data source through access and the update query has always worked no prob's. I have migrated all my programs etc accross to a new laptop, (old one dead) and now the linked table is a non updatable table?

I get a couple of different errors depending on how I select the linked table, one is error -7778 no help available
and the other tells me my sql is too long.

It worked fine yesterday on the old laptop, but in the new one it refuses to.

Any help appreciated.

Is it possible that the new laptop is missing a driver update?

Ive checked the ODBC drivers and as far as I can tell I have the latest loaded.

One thing I did think of this afternoon is that the old laptop had Visual Basic and Visual C loaded, so I'll ty loading them again on this one.
