the trouble light sequence I receive are not in their manual.

I am trying to help my dad get his e210 working again. It is USB and we are using XP.

Initially, the printer would printer very well and then just not print. The power and lights would be normal. It acted as if the USB cord was coming loose. I attributed it to a new USB hub he had gotten.

We bypassed the hub and it still worked intermittantly.

I brought it to my home and installed it. Installation went normal -- until after the self-test.

After the self-test, the control panel lights flash immediately flash in this sequence:

First I'll describe the lights
Left to right
#1 - Triangle/! error light
#2 - Paper light
#3 - Processing light
#4 - Continue light

This is the sequence.
#1 & #4 blink alternately with #2 & #3.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Most likely the problem is a short in one of the cartridges. You should take both cartridges out and perform a self test. If it passes, do a self test with each of the cartridges independantly. If all is well with each of the cartridges on their own, but returns when you have both cartridges installed, most likely the problem is with your color cartridge.
Hope this helps.
