HI,
Got a problem, a customer (BC12 details below EDITED)
is trying to route numbers.

What they want to do is for the user to dial (for example)

710 - 1234

where 710, is an access code and 1234 is an extension number.

what should happen, is it will pick up a route to dial out and then remove the 710 and add the 1234 on to the end for example,

710 = 9001234567
1234 = exten xxxx
number going out of switch becomes,

9001234567xxxx (where xxxx is 1234)

710 is a destination code and they want the user to dial 710, as this is a "Number range" unless you use the LCR means making a separte entry for every extn possible.

I think the problem is 9 means dial out over LCR
and 710 means its a dest code.

I thought about an Abb dial soultion, but dont think that would work.

any ideas ?

cheers

I'm not that clear on what you are trying to achieve.

Is it the case that you want users to dial 710 for a set location followed by the extension digits that they choose? If so do you have a direct link to this site, or will you go over PSTN? Or are you trying to LCR the PSTN number to your Private link?

Tell me what you want the user to Dial (exactly), and what digits you want to go to which line and I may be able to offer some help. Either way you should be able to achieve what you want with a little programming.

HI Alchohaz,

the site has a private-PSTN-special rate link to overseas.
which has at the moment at access code, lets say 710, this is a dest code.

they have several numbers at the moment: (more to be added)

<LCDDP:TAB=DNT1;
LEAST COST DESTINATION DATA
EXCEPTIONS TABLE
ENTRY TRC PRE ACCT FRCT TOLL
90012013072 10 0 1 111111111111111
900120130751 10 0 1 111111111111111
900120130752 10 0 1 111111111111111
900120130758 10 0 1 111111111111111

<LCDDP:TAB=FDT;
LEAST COST DESTINATION DATA
FICTITIOUS DESTINATION TABLE
FRCT TZONE PRE
1 1 710

so I think they dial one of the above numbers (adding the relevant extension number after the 10 digits etc) and it routes to the right place.

"what" they want to do, instead of dialling the full
900120130758 number, they need to dial a shirt dial code for example, 710 AND the extension number, so user dials

710 1234, MD translates this to 9001201307581234

however there is a lot of extension numbers in each range, have been told they must use 710, this then routes over a route in the FRCT table (dest for example 740)

I think they are trying to use LCR (ie 9) but instead use a 3 digit code as in a dest code

regards

LB

The it seems to me taht you should change all the references to DEST 710 in LCR, i.e. replace it with an alternative number with exactly the same programming so as to free up 710.

Once 710 is free programm it up as a new destination as follows:

<RODDP:DEST=ALL;
EXTERNAL DESTINATION ROUTE DATA
DEST DRN ROU CHO CUST ADC TRC SRT NUMACK PRE

710 19 0005000000000250000000000 3 4 0 710001201307

So 710 gets dialled by the user, it is trunkated, then re-instated, but only from the 4th digit on is passsed to line meaning that 001201307 goes to line, plus any subsequent digits dialled by the user.. Is taht waht you were aiming for?

Don't forget that you may need to adjust you Call Discimination tables !!

Regards
Al
