Hi I have my cisco ccna would would like to know if I pass one out of the four ccnp exam if this would renew my ccna for another 3yr. also cold some one tell which all exam will renew my ccna as I would not want to loose it
you need to take all 4 CCNP exams before your CCNA expires. You can also get any of the cisco professional certs, CCNP, CCIP, CCVP, CCSP. That will keep your CCNA current. If you let your CCNA expire, you will need to retake it in order to get your CCNP.
basshead I was thinking I only need to pass one of the ccnp exam not all 4 i am trying to keep this cert current with out having to start all over again. which track to you seems to be ez ccnp or ccvp, ccvp
We are in the same boat. In march, my CCNA will be two years old. I passed the BCMSN exam in Dec 2006, so i need to take the other 3 exams. I got screwed up with the CCNP because they changed the tests on me. I didn't have any solid study materials until June 2007. I have one year to pass the 3 CCNP exams. As far as what track you want to take, its up to you. Depends on your current job or what kind of job you are looking for. I work for an ISP so the NP suited me well, but there is also a newer CCIP. which is great for someone that works for an ISP. You can't go wrong with either of them. CCVP (Voice) CCSP (Security) CCNP (Routing/Switching) CCIP (ISP). If you pass an exam, don't take a break, continue on to the next one. I made that mistake.
