!rommon 9 > tftpdnld

monitor: command "tftpdnld" not found

You did it right, but do not do dnld at all---it always says "command not found" when you do tftpdnld after "dnld"---if you had hit enter a few times then done tftpdnld again, it would have worked.

Also, make your gateway the tftp server (same), as they are in the same subnet.

Also, are you sure this is a 3620?

Hi expert tftpdnld is not one of the options on this router when I did ? only dnld. I am now trying the xmodem. I could not get the 115200 to work and just settle for 9600 baud rate. It will be done in 4hr hopefully it works

Why not?

rommon1>confreg 3922

Set the terminal emulator to 115,200.

I have a 3640, and it does tftpdnld just fine. It did not recognize tftpdnld because you tried "dnld" first. If you tried hitting enter a few times then tried "tftpdnld" again, it would have worked. There was an extra up, down or space character that rommon was reading, but you did not see it. That is why it did not recognize the command. The bootstrap program is quirky like that!
