I am a beginner with IIS and do not know how to get it working properly.
But what I have done is this. I am using VI 6 to develop my asp pages and I am using IIS 5 to put them on the web so what I have done is set my home directory to C:\Inetpub\ I can access the main pages via the web at I get this error with any of the pages that have dtc's.
A runtime Error has occured do you wish to debug
Line 4
Error: 'thisPage' is undefined.

I also cannot use interdev to go in an edit my pages. It asks for a username and password so I specify the nt username and password but it will not work. As soon as I take the iis down I can go in and edit my asp pages without any problems

I am really frustrated. I have tried changing rights on folders and all sorts of stuff but I cant seem to get it

If anyone has an article they can point me to or offer some expert advise it would be really appreciated.

Thanks Bryant Moore

I found that if I just specify
C:\Inetpub\ as my home directory everything works normally
I can access all of my pages fine. I can even login. But if anyone has an article they could point me to or give me some expert advise it would really be appreciated because I have no idea if this is the proper way to post it on the net or if its secure or anything.
I should mention I am using

Windows 2000 server -O/S with IIS 5 (I think)
SQL SERVER 2000 -DB
VISUAL INTERDEV 6.0 -Development Tool (asp)
