Help with IDN printer

Hello mates,

I need to connect a new remote printer for receipts, on my restaurant I only use KDS and running MICROS RES 3700 5.7.

Now, I a couple of Epson TM-U220 printers, one with a parallel port and the other one has a IDN port.

I need to connect the printer to a WS5A which is near the place where I need that printer.

So, the questions are:

Would you recommend me to use the IDN or the Parallel port?

Can I use a print server on the parallel port so I can make that printer an "IP printer"?

If I use the IDN printer, can I just make a 6 pins wire and connect it directly to the Workstation?
