Sounds like a 48-bit LBA issue.
Does your BIOS see all 320GB of the drive? If not, see if there is a BIOS update from your motherboard's manufacturer's website.
What OS are you using? In order to support drives larger than 137GB, Windows 2000 requires at least SP3 and a registry tweak, XP requires at least SP1.

If you meet all the requirements, what does Disk Managment show for drive size (Start, Run..., diskmgmt.msc)?
