Hi All,

My Data is some thing ike this.

empno hrsowrked hrsonbreak
1 4 1
1 4 2
1 4 3

I want the output as

1 4 6

I do not want to sum the hrsworked but sum the hrsonbreak for a particular employee is it possible. Like that I have many employees and for a particular employee I would like to sum only the hrsonbreak field but just display the hrs worked with out the sum in the group footer.

Thanks,
M

Group on empno and then either place the hrsworked field in the group footer, or insert a maximum on it--if there is always only one value per empno.

Sorry may be I have explained it wrong. What I need in the footer is the hrsworked field should be summed only once per employee and the hrsonbreak should be summed for each record in the report and both should be displayed in the footer.
ex

1 4 1
1 4 3
1 4 2
2 5 4
2 5 3

output should in the fotter I need is

9 13

LB "Insert maximum on it" on what should I insert a maximum and where do I place it.

Thanks,
M

I thought you wanted the summaries at the empno group level, which was why I suggested using a maximum. In your last example, it looks like you are looking for a report level summary, so instead, insert a running total that does a sum of hrsworked, evaluate on change of field (empno), reset never.

Place this in the report footer. Be sure to sort by empno.
