i have a report with 2 Groups

G1 Sites.
G2 Terminals.

i have to list all the terminals one below the other in the G2 footer. for example lets say i have following G2s
G22a Term1
G22d Term2
G22c Term3

then in the G1 footer i have to display like
Term1
Term2
Term3
Any thoughts how to do this.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Why in the footer of the groups and not their detail sections?

To Paraphrase:"The Help you get is proportional to the Help you give.."

that is the requirement that i got.
They want to see how many terminals for each site.

count the number and put the count in the group header.. also,, make the report drill down capable,, that way if they want to open up the groups,, they can see all the terminal names.

How will the count display the terminals?
I'm little lost here. Can you please explain what to do?

Thanks,

You could insert a crosstab in the group #1 footer where you add terminal as the row and also as the summary field (maximum of). Then suppress all but the labels (or the summary) and remove the grid by going into the customize style tab->format grid->uncheck "show grid lines".

You could also collect the terminal names in a variable to display in the group footer by using the three formula method, with a reset in the group #1 header formula:

whileprintingrecords;
stringvar x;
if not inrepeatedgroupheader then
x := "";

//{@accum} to be placed in the group #2 header and suppressed:
whileprintingrecords;
stringvar x := x + {table.terminal}+chr(13);

//{@display} to be placed in the group #1 footer:
whileprintingrecords;
stringvar x;

Format {@display} to "can grow".

Well you "hide", the detail section,, but leave it available for "drilldown".. So if they want to see the terminals in a group.. they double click the group and it opens, to show the terminals. Of course they would have to view the report with the crystal viewer, and not get just a printed copy.
