I've been using InDesign 2.0 for quite a while. I've never bothered to upgrade because 2.0 does what I need it do perfectly...until now!
For years, I've drawn a text box, then clicked the text tool inside the box and started typing. When I want to do a forced line break (soft return), I'd just type Shift+Enter, and the text coninues on the next line (assume there is plenty of room in the text box for the text).
Now, all of a sudden, this isn't working! Every time I type Shift+Enter, the rest of my text just disappears, and the little plus-sign appears in the out port. (And this happens even if my text box is the size of the whole page.)
I've obviously done something, but I have no idea what? I've tried everything. Does anyone here know why forced line breaks would suddenly not work and cause text to disappear?
Thanks!
Scott
