I've been doing websites in PHP and MySQL and creating content managers so I don't have to keep my sites updated. I'm trying to venture out into flash and allow users to update their flash site. I'm not exactly sure where to get started, but I don't really know where to look. I would ideally like to still use php and mysql for the content management, however, i haven't the slightest clue how to put data from MySQL into flash in the same manner as I do it with PHP. For example, creating tables, and repeat regions and lists and "bios". Really all i need to know is how to echo the variables properly in flash. First, I need to be able to output simple things like a paragraph of text. and then possibly a list of events. and then finaly, bios with pictures and stuff.

Please help. I'm so stumped.

You can load Name/Value pairs and XML into Flash. Just get your PHP to output one of those two and then load that into Flash using loadVars or loadXML. If using XML you could also use the XML components in MX 2004 Pro or Flash 8 Pro.

Hope that gets you going.

Wow JT that almost looked like you knew what you were doing!
