I've created a site with drop down menus using Fireworks 4.0. Everything is centered and in a 800 x 600 browser everything works great. Looking at the site at a higher resolution makes the menus appear to the left...while everything else is still centered. I know fireworks uses coordinates for the drop downs but I don't know how to alleviate this problem. Please Help!

Check it out.

If you've got the fireworks HTML centered in the browser window, you're going to have problems with the drop down menus. You're right when you say that fireworks uses coordinates to specify the position of the drop down menus. Unfortunately these coordinates are absolute, so that means when you resize the browser window and your content re-centers itself, your drop down menus still pop up in the same place.

If you look in the HTML for the fireworks stuff, you'll see the following code somewhere

onMouseOver="window.FW_showMenu(window.fw_menu_0,140,50)

140,50 are the coordinates where the menu pops up. You can manually change this in your HTML editor to suit your needs, but you'll still have the problem when you resize the browser. I suggest you 86 the centering of your content, or use flash to generate your menus. Apparently, it doesn't have this problem.
