I am using access 2000 and am trying to write a quary that will let me kmow if I have an 80 % ratio of pumps that are at -04 or lower. I can not get the program to figure this and am in need of help. The Field Names are as follows:

Number of pumps (This is the number of pumps at the location)

Number of pumps - 04 (This is the number of pumps that tested to be -04 cubic inches or lower)

% of pumps -04 or lower (I would like for the program to figure this to show at what percent I am dealing with)

The only thing that I want is for a screen to come up so that I figure the percentage in the field. I do not need a report built.

Thanks:

Barry

Simply create you table (table1) with no_pumps and no_pumps-04

Create query with the table1 add no_pumps in 1st field, add no_pumps-04 in second field in third field right click on field and select build.

copy this into the box:-

%pumps under 04: ([Table1]![no_pumps-04]/[Table1]![no_pumps]

Click on ok

Right click on criteria field and in format select percentage and then the number of decimal places you want.

You and then use this query to dissplay no pumps, number pumps under 4 cubic inches and the percentage of pumps under 4 cubic inches on a form.

drop me a line if you want furhter help :)

Regards

Matt
