I am getting the following error message and want to know what it means. Does this mean my page has errors but can't display them because of this setting??

An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

In order to hide errors from the end user you can create a generic page that the user sees for any error that occurs. I am guessing that you are working from a client machine connecting to a server and not localhost right?

To fix this go into the web.config file and change the <customErrors mode="On" /> tag to read as follows
<customErrors mode="Off" />
This will allow you to see the error that has occured and hopefully debug it [cheers]
HTH That'l do donkey, that'l do
